Announcements
- The 2002 Southeast Ohio District Science Day will be held on Saturday, March 30.
It will be held at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Call Dr. James Tong at
(740) 593-1738 for information. Judges are needed. Would you volunteer?

- The 2002 State Science Fair will be held at Ohio State University on Saturday, May 11.
- The Women in Science and Engineering Workshop will be held at Ohio University in
Athens, Ohio, on April 24 in 2002. Please write to Dr. Tong or call him for
information and application blanks.
- The Ohio Chemistry Contest will be held in October or November 2002.

- The International Science and Engineering Fair will be held in May 2002.
- The AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF PHYSICS TEACHERS - APPALACHIAN SECTION (Southeast Ohio,
West Virginia and Western Maryland) will hold its FALL 2002 MEETING at
Fransican University in Steubenville on November 1 and 2.
- The NSF has several fundable programs for school science and math.
These four programs are: Informal Science Education, Instructional Materials
Development, Teacher Enhancement, and Advanced Technological Education.
