Graduate Profile

    Chen Ji

Chen received his Bachelor's degree in physics from Nanjing University in Nanjing, China, in 2006. In the same year, he came to Ohio University for his graduate study. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Nuclear Theory and is advised by Prof. Daniel Phillips. Chen's current research interest is in investigating few-body systems using effective field theory. His work sheds light on the mechanism and universal behaviors of few-body systems, and has wide applications in nuclear physics and atomic physics.

Besides his work, Chen lives a plain and simple life. His favorite hobbies are sleeping and watching TV. Sometimes, he also fancies listening to rock and folk, watching soccer and formula one, and playing FIFA and Need for Speed.

Nice places in Athens recommended by Chen:
1.Cheap restaurants: Big Mamma & Peking Express
2.Personally favored pubs: Casa Nueva & Jackie O's
3.Fun local festivals: Halloween & Ohio Brew Week (in July)
