Since students enter the CMSS Program through one of the graduate degree programs offered through the departments of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Physics and Astronomy, or Chemical, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering, admission requirements of the particular degree-granting deparment must be met. Normally, this means students must have earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry, physics, engineering, or in one of the related sciences. Submission of GRE scores also is required for some of these programs.
